
Two Buffalo-based companies remain in the running at 43North.
Eight finalists have been chosen to move onto the 43North finals stage at Shea's Performing Arts Center on Thursday to pitch for $1 million investments and an opportunity to build their innovative startups in Buffalo.
The finalist field was pared down from 15 semifinalist who pitched today at Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship in downtown Buffalo.
This is the last year of the 43North competition, which started 12 years ago as the largest business competition in the world and invests $5 million annually in Buffalo. Portfolio companies have gone on to create about 1,000 jobs in Western New York and raise more than $1 billion in follow-on funding.
