GrowthX is making a meaningful entry into the Buffalo market with the hiring of region managing director Pat Shreckengast.
GrowthX has become a popular program for local B2B software startups as they enter the market and seek to scale.
Now the accelerator program is formalizing its longterm commitment to Buffalo and Rochester with the appointment of managing directors who will lead operations in each of those territories.
GrowthX runs cohorts of locally-based startup companies through a structured program that combines hands-on sales coaching with an AI-enabled system to remove friction from day-to-day execution.
The initiative is led by founder and CEO Andrew Goldner and ruin in partnership with the Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship, which opened in Rochester two years ago and is now renovating the former Buffalo News building for its new operation in Buffalo. The Golisano Institute will enroll its first class in Buffalo in fall 2026.
As part of its commitment, GrowthX announced today it has hired Pat Shreckengast as its managing director for Western New York while Rochester-based Ben Bastian joined to lead operations in Rochester.
Looking ahead, GrowthX will use its Buffalo and Rochester presences to make Western New York an operating hub for its work, scaling founder support while turning student talent into a repeatable advantage for companies building and selling from the region.
