Common Ground: Emerging leaders in Buffalo will discuss its future

Christine Stolzenburg, Sam Hill, Thea Pecht and Hadar Borden will be the feature presenters in an event designed to create open and collaborative discussion.

Aleron’s Common Ground series is back this Tuesday with another discussion that elevates rising voices in the community, rallying around a vision for the future.

Common Ground’s goal is to support the transition to a new generation of civic leadership, creating intentional spaces for connection, mentorship and collaborative planning.

Tuesday’s discussion will feature four rising leaders, including:

  • Christine Stolzenburg, audit principal at Withum and treasurer of the Leadership Buffalo board, who will share her perspective on cultivating interest.

  • Thea Pecht, senior vice president at M&T Bank, will discuss a theme of training and development.

  • Sam Hill, vice president of people & culture and strategic initiatives at The John R. Oishei Foundation, will  discuss mentorship.

  • Hadar Borden, director of the University at Buffalo’s Startup and Innovation Collaboratory, will describe her efforts to train new entrepreneurs in Buffalo

The event will begin with a brief panel discussion featuring all four panelists, followed by breakout sessions designed to create an environment of open dialogue and conversation.

The free event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31 at the Northland Workforce Training Center (Door A entrance, with parking available across the street), 683 Northland Ave., Buffalo 14211. Registration is available here.
