Talkin' Proud, redux

‍

Nearly 50 years later, 43North remade the famous Buffalo hype video shot for shot to honor the city that made our work possible.

‍

43North hosted its final Finals in style last week, with five more companies earning $1 million investments in front of 3,000 people at Shea's Performing Arts Center in downtown Buffalo.

‍

The theme of the night was "Talkin' Proud," honoring the work that 43North has done in creating new companies, jobs and belief in Buffalo.

‍

In the video above, the 43North crew returned to the original locations on Elmwood Avenue, in Arlington Park and at the Erie Basin Marina.

‍

Alden Schutte, who created the original campaign, lent 43North his vinyl record of the song and joined the production team on set.

‍

Terry Licata-Braunstein, whose stance led the original march, makes a cameo. Dozens of Buffalonians took part over two shoot days.
