Viridi will install 100 energy storage systems after major deal with Budderfly

Vidiri is nearing 200 employees at its East Side manufacturing campus.

Viridi announced recently that it has scored a major contract with Budderfly, leading to the installation of 100 energy storage system at its commercial sites.

"This rollout is part of a broader effort to scale behind-the-meter energy infrastructure across a large, diversified portfolio of commercial buildings," Viridi founder and CEO Jon Williams said. "Rather than treating each installation as a standalone project, we are building a coordinated network of distributed energy assets that can improve performance at the site level while contributing to greater flexibility across the system as a whole."

Viridi has breathed new life into a formerly vacant auto factory on Buffalo's East Side, approaching 150 employees there. The company's fail-safe storage systems have a unique and important capability: they are certified for indoor use, giving Viridi an opportunity to scale into markets across residential, commercial, municipal and data centers.
