Five new high-growth startups launch in Buffalo through UB's Cultivator program

Adventure Sports, Beauty Buzz, CareNgen, Freedom Fans and RecycleVisionAI preparing to enter the market with seed funding, expert mentorship and the pedigree of UB's Cultivator program.

Five new tech startup companies are launching in Buffalo, with the possibility of $100,000 in seed funding as they enter the market and test their product.

Each of the companies have been accepted into the Cultivator program run by University at Buffalo Business and Entrepreneurship Partnerships office. Through Cultivator, early-stage founders in WNY receive mentorship, practical help and up to $100,000 in pre-seed funding as they refine plans and prepare to raise capital.

Those companies include:

Adventure Sports – a weather-aware digital guidebook for regions and resorts.

Beauty Buzz – a real-time booking tool for same-day and last-minute beauty + wellness appointments.

CareNgen – a platform helping employees and families navigate aging-care decisions.

Freedom Fans – roof ventilation and skylight systems for camper vans and RVs.

RecycleVisionAI – AI systems to improve plastic sorting accuracy and reduce recycling contamination.

Cultivator was created by UB BEP to present the opportunity of scalable startups to entrepreneurs throughout Western New York, opening up the funnel for new startups that will drive the region forward. It is designed to create more high-quality startups that enter the market while calling Buffalo home.
